I can help!

I offer assistance with trip planning in 3 ways:

PHONE CONSULTS – 1-hr video phone consult. You can send me your questions before the call so we can make the most of our time. The structure of the call depends on what you’d like to get out of the hour. We can discuss:

  • itinerary ideas or general trip flow
  • hotels
  • activities
  • guides
  • transport
  • things you’re nervous about (getting gas in Italy, which traffic signs you need to know, going to the pharmacy, etc)

Following the call, I will send my notes from our discussion. Depending on what we talk about, I may also include maps, links, and recommendations.

The cost for the phone consult is €250.

This is a good option if you want to do the planning on your own but are having trouble getting started, you’re feeling a bit overwhelmed (I get it!) or you just need to get the general framework down. I am happy to answer quick questions after our session but if you’d like help throughout the trip planning process, the next option (Itinerary Planning) is a better choice.

Good To Know:

  • We can chat by video or voice call. I prefer video call so we can look at maps, photos, and documents together.

ITINERARY PLANNING – We work together to create a day-by-day itinerary for your trip.

First, we’ll connect for a 15-20 minute call to discuss what you’d like from me (basic itinerary, ideas for what to do each day, full-day itineraries with everything planned, etc).

Then, I’ll get back to you with what I can provide and the cost. If you’d like to move forward, we will have another 30-60 minute call to start the trip planning and after we can also work by email and/or phone to set your trip up.  

This is a good option if you want me to ‘hold your hand’ a bit and take the stress away from planning and wondering if you’re making the right decisions. I can also give you more ideas based on my time living, working, and traveling here.

Good To Know:

  • I find we can get more accomplished over phone calls (including the 15-20 minute intro call), but if you prefer working over email, we can!
  • Pricing depends on length of trip, and the level of detail in the itinerary.

ITINERARY PLANNING WITH TRAVEL BOOKINGS – We work together to create an itinerary (as above), and I’ll assist with travel bookings. I am a travel advisor with Fora Travel and I can help book:

  • accommodations
  • activities
  • guides
  • transport

Good To Know:

  • I do not assist with flight bookings at this time, but I’m happy to answer questions about which airports to use for your itinerary.

  • Why don’t you list prices for the Itinerary Planning and Itinerary Planning with Travel Bookings? After we’ve discussed your trip ideas over phone or email, I will respond with an estimate for my services. As you can imagine, a week-long basic itinerary for a family of 3 in Tuscany will require less planning and time on my end than a 10-day family reunion in Sicily with all hotels, restaurants and activities booked.
  • Why can’t I book a consult directly on your site? I love trip planning and helping people visit Italy, but I’m a mamma first! I want to provide an exceptional service to each of my clients, so I’m very careful to only take on as many trips as I can handle at that particular moment. I hope you understand and also feel great knowing that if I take on your trip, I’ll give you the best service possible!
  • Can you just recommend and book our hotels for our Tuscany trip? Yes, I’m happy to assist you with your accommodations. You don’t need to sign up for itinerary planning to work with me.
  • Do you only plan trips for Tuscany? No, I can help you plan your entire Italy trip. I’m most familiar with Tuscany, the Dolomites, and Puglia, but I’ve been working and traveling here since 2003 and I’ve planned trips all over Italy.
  • Do you create itineraries for large families? Yes! I’m happy to help design trips for large groups, whether for extended families, family reunions, or multi-generational groups.
  • We’re not traveling as a family. Can you help plan our trip or do you only work with families? I happily work with couples, families, friends, and companies.
